Adele Blankenship

Died June 23, 2020

Adele Blankenship passed away on Tuesday, June 23. At the time, she was living with her son in Essex, Maryland.

Adele was born on September 1, 1922, in Baltimore, MD., the fifth of six children. She met her husband Bill when she was just thirteen years old. They eloped to Ellicott City, where she was just sixteen. Adele and Bill moved to Queen Anne’s County in 1978.

Both Adele and Bill were involved in the United Communities Volunteer Fire Department, the American Legion, Kent Island Estate HIA, and St. Christopher’s church. Adele was very active in the Legion, holding various officer and catering functions at the Legion. She served as President of the fire company auxiliary and is a life member of the department. She served on the board of directors for the KIAHIA and assisted with many functions at St. Christopher’s Church.

Our deepest condolences go out to Adele’s entire family. May she rest in Eternal Peace.
