Specifications: Brush 9 is a 2000 Ford F-350 four wheel drive extended four-person crew cab pick-up truck. It is powered by a 7.3 liter diesel engine, with an automatic transmission and a large capacity winch mounted within the front bumper. The unit has a Darley skid pack in the bed that was purchased thorough the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. It carries 150 gallons of water and a 250 gpm Darley self-powered pump. Housed with the pump is a 200 foot booster reel, 150 feet of inch and a half hose and 400 feet of forestry grade fire hose. It is outfitted with an array of hand tools, wildland firefighting equipment and emergency medical supplies.
