Thursday, January 23, 2014, at 10:39 hrs.  United Communities VFD was alerted for a marina fire in Annapolis MD.  Boat 9 responded, having to break through some minor ice to get out of the marina.  Upon arrival the crew assisted Annapolis City and Anne Arundel County fire departments with overhaul from the water side.  Two boats were destroyed in the fire causing about $200,000 worth of damage. UCVFD Boat 9 was the only fire boat able to respond due to icing conditions.
