Saturday, February 4, 2017, at 13:23hrs, United Communities VFD was alerted for a dwelling fire in the 9-10 box area. Units from the United Communities, Kent Island, and Grasonville VFD’s responded. The fire was contained in a detached garage behind the residence. The fire was quickly extinguished and a boat outside of the garage was saved.  All units were placed available when ready. The cause at this time is still undetermined.
