Monday, September 7, 2015 at 16:51hrs, United Communities VFD was alerted for a large brush fire in the 9-7 box area. Brush 9 arrived on location to find a portion of a field, approximately half an acre in size on fire.  The fire was located by the Nemo Equestrian Trail and spreading towards the woods.  Engine 92 arrived just after Brush 9 and Officer 907 established command. The crew from Engine 92 began to fight the fire from the woods side and the fire was extinguished before it entered the woods, and spread further.  The box was placed under control and all units were placed available. Crews form Station 1 and 2 also responded.
